Abbas Elfassi the new Moroccan prime minister PDF Print E-mail
Jalal Bounouar - AlJazeeraTalk - Morocco
Abass Elfassi  ,  this name is the one which has been appointed by his Majesty King Mohammed the sixth to be the first policy maker in the new Moroccan Governement .
With 67 years old ,Elfassi has realized his dream to be the prime minister of Morocco even many of his supporters were afread from not appointing him to obtain the first ministry because of his age and his healthy situation and olso the consequences of Najat Company scandal in wich Elfassi had a big responsibility as a minister of employment when this Emarati company promised to employ thousonds of people but there  was nothing fro that and people has lost both  mony and hopes.
In fact  the oppointment of Abass Elfassi as the prime minister of Morocco is a democratic choice becouse his party " Alistqlal" was the first in the Moroccan legeslative election where it has obtained 52 seats before the party of justice and devlopment which has got 46 mps.

Elfassi who was born in Berkan (1940) has joined the political field in 1961 when he was elected as a president of the General Union of Moroccan Student in 1964. After that he became a member of the  Lawers Commitee in Rabat where he was a leader of its syndicate.

In 1974 ,Elfassi was elected to be a member in the executive commity of Alistiqlal Party withing which he became a Moroccan minister for three times and two times the embassador of Morocco in Tunisia (1985) and in France (1990-1994).After that he was elected in 1998 as the general secretary of Alistiqlal Party after Mohammed Bouusta .He is married and a he is a father of four childreen.
