Q.E.D. or quite easily done , that was the word we always used when solving a mathematical quiz at high school , it always started by a given geometry riddle , then we wrote down the wanted solution after working it out,, Ireally don't know what was the logic behind us using that abbreviation
although it wasn't really as easy as it shows.
I remembered all this when looking to the G8 Summit, here they meet once again and yet it never shows that anything is happening in reality. I mean to refer to Africa here in fact, all the supposed to be "big leaders" keep giving promises and nothing else, last year they were talking about fighting poverty in Africa. This year they are referring to fighting olio, malaria and AIDS and yet they think it is simple as Q.E.D., Because Simply NothingWas done To Achieve That .
Africa which is meant to be one of the Prosperous continents in the World is still after decades of what is so called "Independence". Shattered. Torn Apart. And From All Over it is like a dead body. Let's face it, if not for the decades of colonialism, most of the European countries wouldn't be in this status of theirs today; they know it; A dirty past of slavery, abuse of Man and land; Things if mentioned would fill Tons of Papers.
The Point is these G8 Guys, they really don't care for Africa. We've seen it in all the conflicts that occurred, Rwanda Genocide, Sierra Leone Civil War, South Africa apartheid. They weren't there to help but to make things worse.
All they care is about profit, what makes them wealthier and powerful and let little children die of hunger in Niger, let people live in slums around the continents, let kids spill out of school, let oil giants be more rich... Well in the end... it is Powerful Over Weak Rule .. Q.E.D.
So G8 Honourable Leaders, think once again... The Q.E.D. method doesn't apply anymore... If uou really want to help you know the right way to do it.
Things need hard work and life is really bad out there in the slums and streets of Africa. Maybe you should turn up the clock a bit faster.
Al-Jazeera talk will take you in a roaming series with countries in Africa where Life Is Still Decades Away...
