Nour Abu-Aisha - Aljazeeratalk - Gaza
As he Laughed, he cried. He shaded most of his tears behind the camera, he took photographs of the martyrs’ mothers and the martyrs of children, and he knew from the life five things "joy, sadness, success, reminiscence and love".
Fadl Shana'a (23 years), a Palestinian journalist and photographer in the international news agent (Reuters), was killed in middle of Gaza Strip (Johr Deek) when an Israel's missile targeted his car during the performance of his work.
"By Mistake"!!
The last view that Fadl's camera could take was, a tank of missiles, launched hundreds of meters away from his camera and went straight into in to the his chest after shatterring the protective jacket which failed to do its job.
Two years ago, Shana's car was damage when an Israeli missile targeted it but he insisted on continuing his work.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday (16-4-2008) Shanaa's life ended "by mistake" as the Israelis said.
Media Funeral!
Journalists, photographers ,representatives of factions and spokesmen of media agencies were carrying Shnaa's body in front of the news agency Reuters.
His uncle, Iyad Shna'a said to al Jazeeratalk :"a year and a half ago, the Israel military targeted him, today it fired another rocket towards his car, which was clearly branded by the (TV) sign and alleged that this was “a mistake" he then asked :"is the killing of Palestinian journalist ,who reports the truth, a justified act??".
Anger and Condemnation
Palestinian parties condemned the Israeli crimes against Palestinian journalists and called the world to a serious stand to stop the aggression and siege.
Hazem Abu Shanab, a prominent figure in Fatah movement, described the killing of journalists as a "great crime" and said: "the occupation targets everything and doesn't recognize the (Geneva agreement)” he continued” the assassination Shana'a means the killing of truth."
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum confirmed that targeting journalists aims to impose political agendas to make people in Gaza under it's control.
At the same time, Khaled al Batsh (the leader in Al-Jehad Al-Islamy movment) considered that the targeting of journalists is a part of a "Holocaust" policy performed by the occupation forces, which does not exclude anyone.
He demanded the international organizations and the United Nations to protect the Palestinians and to compel Israel to respect the Geneva Convention".
