Sarkozy ..The Godfather of The Mediterranean Union.
Mustapha Abaji - AlJazeeraTalk - Morocco
Curently the competition beteween France and the U.S.A over the strategic Maghreb Arab region is very ferocious. Hence, France could no longer sit idly watching its old well fortified francophone stronghold ruined overnight, due to the increasing U.S influence aspirations in the region.
On 15 Jun 2004, the U.S-Morocco Free Trade Agreement was signed in Washington, D.C.The U.S government  plan to sign simliar conventions with Algeria and Tunisia. Furthermore, the states succed to dictate its own agenda on the stubborn Libyan General  Maamar Kadhafi .Ironically the U.S succeded to unify the divergent stands of the Maghreb Arab Union leaders on its led-war on terror as well.

Happy Eid Gaza !
Nazek Abu Rahma - AlJazeeraTalk - Gaza
The great Islamic Festival, Eid is for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip an opportunity to renew hope, although being under siege, bad economy and unstable political conditions, especially after the recent series of assassinations of known Islamic figures in Gaza.
As usual, the beginning of the first day of the festival was by praying the Eid prayer at different mosques in Gaza. However, most of the city’s residents from men, women and children prayed in the Palestine Stadium behind the President Minister, in the dismissed government, Ismail Haniya who then sermonized after the end of the prayer and underlined the necessity of resistance despite siege and closures of all crossings " Our message in this holiday is a message of love, brotherhood and amnesty" said Haniya to the crowed

Doha… A Lovely City
Malainine Chbihna – Alajazeera Talk – Doha
It was about ten o’clock in the evening when I first saw Doha. I came from Morocco for training at Aljazeera Media Training and Development Center. It is a lovely city with various items. Here you can test so many differences with so many entities. In fact Doha is that kind of city that captivates the heart and fascinates its visitors. Sure I did not shape an exception. The following day I was about to discover other magnificent area like old SOUK which is named "WAKEF".I have been informed that it was called so because people were most of them traders then they sold their goods while standing. Doha actually is marvellous city that is worth to visit.

Though the Ways Differ, Resistance is One!!

Are you prepared for "selling yourself"?
Arwa Walid - AlJazeeraTalk - Leeds
Are you prepared for "selling yourself" after you finish your degree? Have you worked out what "marketing strategies" you are going to use to impress your prospective employers? Students are bombarded with numerous leaflets and lectures telling them how to make their CVs look impressive, how to relate to incidents which demonstrate their competence to make the employer think they're unique or "one of a kind" and that if he doesn’t employ the guy he has missed a great opportunity of a life time!
Being an Economics and  Politics student, the above questions about selling one's self echoed decades of a bitter cold war between the Capitalist and the Communist world where the capitalist world headed by the US won. It was all about labour, wasn't it?! If you don't own capital you can't invest in it and you can't make profit. Therefore your labour is the only thing that you can trade in the market.

TESTING TIMES FOR GORDON BROWN
Leila Nader  - AlJazeeraTalk - UK
The last few weeks have seen the Labour Party limp from scandal to scandal and Gordon Brown is struggling to repair the damage both to his party and his reputation.
It would be fair to say that Tony Blair did not leave office on good terms with the British nation, and as a result the brooding demeanour projected by Gordon Brown seemed like a welcome change to the decade of spin and facile grinning perfected by team “Blair”.  There was something about this stark difference between Blair and Brown that caused many to think that Brown could be the antidote to Blair – insomuch as Brown’s time as chancellor had at the very least established him as strong figure of sound judgement.

Annapolis Conference
Nazek Aburahma – AlJazeeraTalk - Gaza
On the first day of the Annapolis conference, Palestinians came marching all the way from the northern part of  Gaza Strip to the Legislative Council in the southern area. Among the demonstrators were men, women and even children who were angrily condemning the Annapolis conference.   Police was spread everywhere to maintain security in Gaza, while police in the West Bank prevented demonstrators from protesting and expressing their views, the violence led to the  killing  a Palestinian young man.
Not Acknowledged
The words that came out during the marches reflected the lack of recognition of the state of Israel and the rejection of the Annapolis   conference.
Fatima who was marching in one of the demonstrations said to Aljazeeratalk “I came to say that this conference will not succeed and will not achieve anything for the Palestinians’ benefit “.

The Value of Values at the Age of Globalisation
Mohammed HASHAS- AlJazeeraTalk - Morocco
Aljazeera Studies Center organized its last monthly forum in Rabat bureau on 29 October 2007 on the following issue:  The Question of Values and the Challenges of Globalization. The Moroccan philosopher Taha Abdurrahman and the academician on the field of geography and sociology Dr Mohamed Belfkir were the main participants in this forum, with the presence of the head of the Center Dr Mustafa Almurabit and Dr Khalid Hajji, his assistant.  Each of the participants approached the raised issue from a different point of view, but all seem to agree on the idea that values and ethics are threatened by the many  ‘marketised’ values which hardly take the life of human beings into a better human and humane way of life where respect, dialogue, ethics, and moralities are the most widespread and the most esteemed.

Shubra.. Don't Hestiate !
Abdallah Elshamy - AlJazeeraTalk - Cairo
Talking About Cairo , a very dense city with up to 20 million living in it , the idea of finding a place which mixes between aristocratism and rural people is not yet easily found just like that , adding to that muslims and copts living a normal life a side by side , then we must be talking about Shubra , where the past mixes with the future , islam and Christianity symbolizes in its best .So I decided to visit Shubra , and was lucky enough to tour the streets, do some shopping and witness a local wedding too !
But, where is Shubra ?
Geographically, the district covers North Cairo and extends from the railway bridge behind the Main train station in Ramsis Square, to the edge of Shubra Al Kheima at the far north of the capital. From East to West it covers the area between the Nile, and the railway line going north at Ahmed Helmy Street .

Youth defy blockade
Nazek Abu Rahma - AlJazeeraTalk- Gaza
The image “http://www.aljazeeratalk.net/forum/upload/6/1195272155.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Despite blockade and closures of all crossings, the determination of Palestinian youth in the Gaza Stripe to achieve their dreams was never affected. A true example of high motivation and ambition was the experience of a young man called Ehab Al-Kurdy.
Kurdy’s dream was to have a farm of rabbits, it stayed in his mind for 8 years before it became reality, showing the fact that blockade can never withstand hope and challenge.

Dreams do not know impossible
Difficulties were never a justification for the killing of a dream; Kourdy never forgot his dream throughout the past eight years.
Despite the hardship, he insisted on achieving his goal even after awhile.
“During the   past eight years I terminated my studies and I collected information about the project and produced a plan.
