Hashmat Moslih - AlJazeeraTalk
11th of September is a gruesome celebration of a gruesome act, committed by the leaders of the western civilization; it is the celebration of the death of logic. Logic died when the western leaders demanded that the occupied must provide security for the occupier. In such an environment of world order, attacks like that of 11th of September are inevitable and nothing is going to prevent it. Humanity has reached a deadlock; war is the only path in resuscitating “reason” and “logic’. What happened to “reason” and “logic” and where enlightenment is, are questions which can only be answered by analysing the roots of the political psychology of our era. An honest analysis of the guiding political psychology of our times will lead us to the answer of the most heart aching question amongst the western population in general and USA in particular, “why do they hate us”?

"We will use Google doing everything in our life sooner or later, even to find your little son when he's lost in the street!!"; Said the engineer who was explaining us the search tools on the internet among a course of E-journalism and blogging!
Ok, I also believe that google is something like inventing the wheel which has become the basis of every mobile vehicle on the ground,, but it's finally a human production!
Ok, have you ever imagined logging into the internet one morning to discover that someone is "occupying" your blog?!
First of all, I received a telephone call from my friend telling me that he tried to log into my blog but he couldn't open it!

Well-known Egyptian journalist, Mohamed Hassanein Heikal, was a regular reader of baheyya.blogspot's analysis that have been anatomizing the political and cultural situation in Egypt. His secretary used to print these analysis for im in his Cairo-based office.
He said this once in Aljazeera show, and the following days then witnessed increasing clicks and hits on baheyya.blogspot. The number of weblogs increased as well. Observers of the blogosphere all over the world started to shed more light on Egyptian and Arab weblogs and how far they affect the status quo of the Arab societies. |

The first Somali president, Aden Abdulle Osman (effectionately known in Somalia as Aden Cadde) has died in Kenya at the age of 99. He was the first African leader to peacefully hand over power:
Aden Abdulle Osman will be remembered not only as Somalia's first president; he was also the first African leader to hand over power to a democratically elected successor. Elected in 1960, when the former British and Italian Somali colonies united to form the Republic of Somalia, Osman lost the 1967 presidential election and, unlike so many African leaders before and since, accepted his defeat graciously and gave up power.
While Somalia is suffering from a serious crisis of leadership, Aden Adde was probably the only Somali politician admired and respected by all Somalis regardless of clan, region or politics. |

Most of us have, probably, heard warnings about the effects of mass media. But what is it? why should we be concerned about its influence? the best way to begin in understanding mass media is through a definition. Mass media is a medium of communication such as newspapers, radio, television and recently the internet, that is designed to reach the mass of people. However, now it is more than just this. It has become pervasive in our daily lives. Mass media may inform, entertain, or even persuade; but its primary goal is to exert influence over its audience. Therefore, it orientates people's attitude and behaviour. The influence of various constituents on both society and individuals is inescapable. In that standard, mass media has always been shaping people's opinion towards their ethics and values. |

Exactly, this is what this big sign on Mudeirij Bridge says. This bridge that is the highest bridge in the Middle East –actually was, when it was a bridge – and whose construction took much time and budget form the Lebanese people, was bombed last summer during the Israeli attack on Lebanon.
It was bombed with the help of the American’s unconditional support for Israel, for Israel’s war, and continuous military support, and most probably with an American-made bomb and plane.
Yes indeed … “From the American People: For Lebanon’s Progress”

Q.E.D. or quite easily done , that was the word we always used when solving a mathematical quiz at high school , it always started by a given geometry riddle , then we wrote down the wanted solution after working it out,, Ireally don't know what was the logic behind us using that abbreviation
although it wasn't really as easy as it shows.
I remembered all this when looking to the G8 Summit, here they meet once again and yet it never shows that anything is happening in reality. I mean to refer to Africa here in fact, all the supposed to be "big leaders" keep giving promises and nothing else, last year they were talking about fighting poverty in Africa. This year they are referring to fighting olio, malaria and AIDS and yet they think it is simple as Q.E.D., Because Simply NothingWas done To Achieve That .

It has been a dream. A year and half ago the idea was still a few sketches on white paper drawn by a number of young people passionate about their own generation and their problems. Since the beginning the goal was stated. The project, later named Aljazeeratalk, needs not to know boundaries. It needs to be a whole youth project reaching out widely, starting in the Arabic countries and spreading towards the young generation across the entire world. Using the newest technologies of communication was one of the means to achieve this goal. The other one was to operate in different languages thus reaching out to different cultures and building bridges of high understanding between the different youth communities around the world.
